Russia’s Western Military District has received an advanced Nebo-U radar able to detect stealthy supersonic missiles and planes, district spokesman Igor Muginov said on Monday, May 23, 2016. The Nebo-U/Nebo-UE is part of the Nebo family of Very High Frequency (VHF) 2D and 3D mobile surveillance radars which also includes the 55G6-1 Nebo 3D radar and 1L13-3 Nebo-SV 2D radar both deployed in the 1990s.

They will relocate from Okinawa, as part of the US-Japan agreement to reduce US military presence in Okinawa, signed in 2006. The total number of the Marines moving to Guam is 5,000, with the rest relocating there by 2026.

Thai military officials have confirmed that the Royal Thai Army (RTA) has formally signed an agreement to purchase MBT-3000 main battle tank produced by China North Industries Corporation (NORINCO). With this contract, Thailand is the first export customer for the MBT-3000 also called VT-4.
